We Started At Conventions

Founder at a convention

In March 1995, James started selling officially licensed pop culture merchandise at local trade centers on weekends. That experiment became StylinOnline — a full-scale licensed apparel brand at Comic Cons and Fan Expos across the US and Canada. Decades on the floor watching fans light up the moment they found their franchise.

In 2015 he noticed fans were eager to spend on the franchises they loved but rarely knew what to buy. So he built something different: a curated mystery box built around one officially licensed IP. StylinBoxes launched at Toronto Comicon in March 2017 with a Mighty Morphin Power Rangers box and grew into hundreds of themed boxes from there.

Today James and his daughter Angelica are still on the show floor at SDCC, NYCC, C2E2, ECCC, and dozens more. Every box ships from the Michigan warehouse with the same standard they hold in person. Officially licensed. Hand-picked. Thirty years of knowing what fans actually want.
